Hourly rate £13.26 - £13.47 Teaching Assistant hours. £12.65 Midday Supervisory Assistant hours

23 hours and 45 minutes weekly, Mon - Fri 8.30am – 12.15pm (plus lunchtime 12.15 – 1.15pm)

The post is to provide one to one support for a child with year two an EHCP and is therefore temporary in the first instance as the role is supported by SEN funding. 

We are looking for individuals with a flexible and forward thinking approach who are committed to enabling every child to thrive and achieve their potential. You should be curious and open to new ways of working to ensure that you are meeting the emotional, social and academic needs of the children that you support.

 

We are keen to hear from applicants who;

·       Have experience of supporting children with complex needs (including children with a neuro-diverse profile)

·       Have an enthusiasm for learning and can take the initiative in adapting the curriculum to make it engaging and relevant to the children that you support (working under the direction the class teacher)

·      Have had recent STEPs training

·       Are able to establish trusting and positive relationships with children

·       Have a calm, positive and patient outlook

·       Have a real desire to make a difference and to achieve the best for the children that you work with

·       Are qualified to a minimum of NVQ 2 or above

Midday Supervisor Vacancy 

Monday to Friday, 12.05pm – 1.20pm (term time only)

Required as soon as possible

Hourly rate: £12.65 per hour

We are currently seeking to appoint a Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our friendly and supportive staff team. The post is primarily to provide one to one (or small group support) for some of our youngest children with additional needs during lunch times. The post will also involve supervising the children (4-11 years) during lunchtimes; encouraging healthy eating and appropriate behaviour, promoting positive play and setting up and clearing away dining facilities (including some lifting).

You must enjoy being with children, have a calm and positive manner, be reliable and enjoy working as part of a team. Applicants will be required to complete training (such as first aid and safeguarding) outside the set hours for the post.

BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PLAY WORKER

Required January 2025

Hourly rate:  £13.05

Hours per week (term time only); Monday to Wednesday 3.10pm – 5.30pm

We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic and friendly person to join ‘The Den’, our before and after school club.  You will be working alongside the Play Leader in planning, setting up and supervising activities, preparing snacks for the children and ensuring that the Den is a safe and clean environment. The successful applicant will ideally hold an NVQ Level 2 in play work or child care qualification (or equivalent). We would consider applications from candidates who wish to apply for just the before school or after school hours (as two separate roles).
