Introducing Tracey Mitchell, our new Parent Support Advisor...
Hello, I am Tracey Mitchell the new Parent Support Advisor working across Bunwell, Banham, Thompson and East Harling primaries.
My role is to support you as parents/carers to help you and your children gain as much as possible from their school life.
Parenting isn’t an easy job and at times things can get tough – homework can seem daunting, finances are often stretched to the limit and problem behaviour can be really upsetting. I am here to help you deal with any worries or concerns about your child and to help you tackle any home issues that are making school life difficult for you and your family. If I cannot help you I can refer you to specialist agencies or support services if you wish, but I will be able to support you through this process.
Each week, I will be at the schools on the following days:
Bunwell Primary – Monday
Thompson Primary – Tuesday
Banham Primary – Wednesday
East Harling Primary – Thursday
I can be contacted via my email address or the school office. I will also be available at the beginning of each day and at the end of the day if you need a quick chat to discuss any concerns or worries. This can be followed up with a longer meeting if required.
I am really looking forward to meeting you all and helping you with any worries or concerns you may have.

A number that you can call from Monday to Friday, 8am – 6pm, if you need to speak to your health visitor, school nurse or any other member of the healthy child programme. This can be for any issue affecting a child's physical or mental health from 0 - 19. The Just One Norfolk website has a wide range of support and advice for families on topics such as childhood illnesses, bed wetting, managing anxiety, and speech and language.

Parents may choose to use this service if they find it hard to call in to Just One Number during opening hours, or you may just prefer to chat by text with a health professional. Parents can text at anytime on 07520 631590. A health professional from the 0-19 team will reply during their opening times. Parents can have the whole conversation by text if that works best for you, or the practitioner can call you.
